IKEA is asking customers who own the VARMFRONT 10 mAh power bank (model number E400) lot (RRTT) 2038, 2313, 2316 or 2318 or the VARMFRONT 2319 mAh power bank (model number E5) lot (RRTT) 200, 2037 or 2318 to they stopped using it immediately and contacted IKEA for a product exchange or a full refund.
"IKEA products undergo risk assessments and thorough testing to ensure they can withstand the rigors of everyday household life and comply with applicable requirements and regulations in all markets where IKEA operates. However, we have found that certain batches of the VARMFRONT power bank may pose a risk of fire due to a manufacturing defect. This defect only affects units from the above batches. ProWe are recalling these VARMFRONT power banks. Customers who own such a product should stop using it immediately and contact IKEA for a replacement or a full refund. The power bank's batch number is listed on the back in the lower right corner. VARMFRONT power banks from other batches are not affected by this recall,IKEA says in a press release.
VARMFRONT power banks of the listed lots can be returned at any IKEA store. Upon return, the customer will receive a replacement product or receive a full refund.
