Compatibility new Apple Pencil Pro It is embarrassing and not surprising at all. According to the website Applu can only be connected to iPads Air 2024 to Pro 2024, i.e. for iPads equipped with M2 and M4 chips. The catch, however, is that the penultimate generation of iPad also has the M2 chip Pro, for which compatibility is not expected – at least for now. It is possible that everything Apple will solve it in the foreseeable future with a software update, which Apple Pencil Pro with iPads Pro (2022) will be operational, but this is not the case now, for which he is apparently receiving quite justified criticism.
Plus, it doesn't seem new Apple Pencil Pro required some really special computeronent connected to the chip, for example. M2 in the iPad Air should be the same as the M2 in the iPad Pro, while the display is also of the same type (Liquid Retina) and many other things. So it seems that from the side of AppThis is a purely sales decision, where functionality Apple Pencil Pro blocks it in software. And it's a shame. Greater compatibility would be new Apple Pencil It definitely suited her.

At least I can flirt with my friends who only have archaic Pro M2. They will burst with envy! 😉
