When Spotify officially announced the preparation of lossless playback mode to the world in February 2021, its fans were ecstatic. At that time, something similar was definitely not a standard in the world of streaming services, and many people were therefore very much looking forward to a similar novelty. Unfortunately, since the announcement of the preparations for the lossless mode, Spotify has been silent about the continuation of its development, even after the Apple pulled out with the same news in Apple MusicBut now it seems that Spotify isonewill officially launch its lossless mode, albeit under a different name than the one the world expected.

Initially, Spotify's lossless mode was known as Spotify HiFi, but then it was referred to as Spotify Music Pro. However, this name is also changing, this time to the simpler (and more understandable) Spotify Lossless. It is not yet clear when Spotify will launch the mode and, consequently, how much it will cost, but screenshots from the mobile and computer applications have already appeared on Reddit, showing what the interface will look like after its arrival. You can take a look at them in the gallery below.
I used Spotify from 2016 until 2022 when I switched to Apple Music and honestly I wouldn't go back. I would have even switched earlier if it weren't for the fact that I didn't want to manually edit playlists. I was also put off by the lack of an app on Windows, iTunes kept crashing, so I played music either via the web interface or directly via YouTube. The only thing that matters to me Apple Music I'm bothered by the discovery of new songs, which Spotify is really good at. On the other hand, that's actually a small thing I can overlook and I'd be happy to pay the same amount in exchange for lossless quality and better payouts to artists.
