One of the disadvantages of automatic background app updates is that you often don't even notice what's new in the app. Google Maps, for example, has been allowing you to adjust its settings directly in the app for a while now. CarPlay, which not every user may know. To be able to change your settings Google Maps directly for CarPlay, just run Google Maps v Carplay and select the gear wheel representing the settings icon in the upper right corner. You can then choose route options, i.e. whether the navigation should avoid ferries, tolls or motorways, you can also set the map colors to day and night or automatic rotation, whether you want to show traffic, whether you want a satellite or classic map, where you want the server and what the navigation volume is. So if you don't like something in Google Maps, try to see if it can be adjusted.

Can you watch Google Maps while driving? Carplay on the phone? CZ maps ask if you want to display on the phone or on the radio display. Google doesn't. Deleting google maps from the list Carplay won't help
