After a long wait, IoneMy Leica Sofort 2 has finally arrived. The toy I emailed myself the moment I wrote that Leica had introduced it. In addition to the Sofort, I also have a real Leica, specifically the Q model, so I have the opportunity to compare whether even the cheapest Leica, which costs less than 10 thousand crowns, has the charm that the 150 thousand models that start the Q series have. The Leica Sofort 2 is an Instax camera that can take a photo, save it to its memory or a memory card, and then edit it using 10 filters, crop it, zoom in, and most importantly, print it.

You get a small color photo directly from the camera, which is immediately available to you, and thanks to accessories in the form of frames, magnetic refrigerator covers and much more, you will have a lot of fun with the Leica Sofort. It really cannot be seen as a professional camera or as an entry into the world of Leica. On the contrary, it's fun when you go for a walk with your children, take a few photos, print them out from your camera at home, put them in frames, and then the children attach them to their fridge. If that's how you see her, then you'll be just as excited as I am. However, we will talk more about this in a review that will arrive shortly. After the first tens of minutes of playing with Sofort 2, I have to say that I really enjoy it and I was especially surprised by the quality of the printed photo. For the fact that the photo costs 25 CZK, the quality is really perfect. On the contrary, there is one software thing that surprised me unpleasantly, but more on that in the review. And the comparison of whether even with the Sofort you get the impression that you belong to the Leica family, you have something exceptional in your hand? Yes and no. The processing of the lens is not bad at all, the packaging is also interesting, but if you get your hands on an ordinary "Q", God forbid something from the higher ranks, because with the Q model we are still talking about the most ordinary that Leica offers, so you will find that the Sofort Leica is, but it doesn't even remotely stand up to the Q or anything else.
