Samsung recently introduced the world to the new generation of its flagship S series smartphones, specifically the S24, S24+ and S24 models. Ultra. And since we have already had the opportunity to see, touch, try and in short, get to know them quite well, it is time to tell you what these new products are in the eyes of an Apple fan, and a truly die-hard one at that. I have been using iPhones for many years, my first being the "five" released in 2013. So let's get to it.
I won't bore you with detailed technical specifications and the like, because only real tests will show whether their use makes sense or not. After all, we have seen this countless times in the past. iPhone with significantly lower RAM memory, it surpassed Androids with RAM memory comparable to computers and so on. In short, I will only highlight the main parameters of the new products from Samsung. In the case of the S24 Ultra you can look forward to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset for Galaxy (i.e. a modified version for Samsung), 12GB RAM and 256, 512GB or 1TB. As for the photo system, there is a 200MPx wide-angle camera, 12MPx ultrawide-angle camera and then 3x telephoto lenses (10MPx) and 5x (50MPx) optical zoom, while there is a 12MPx camera on the front. There is also an S Pen stylus or a large 5000 mAh battery, as well as a 6,8" display with QHD+ resolution.
As for the models Galaxy S24 and S24+, which offer 6,2" and 6,7" displays with FullHD+ resolution in the case of the first model and QHD+ resolution in the second model. They are equipped with a chip Exynos 2400 strength Galaxy, triple camera consisting of 50MPx wide-angle, 12MPx ultrawide-angle and 3x MPx telephoto lens. You can "load" both 8 and 12GB of RAM into them, with 8GB of RAM being paired with either 128 or 256GB of storage. In the case of 12GB of RAM, 256GB or 512GB versions are available. The batteries are not bad either, offering 4000 mAh in the case of the smaller model and 4 mAh in the case of the larger model.

I tried this function mainly on my own articles published on Letem svetem Applem, for which I knew their content in advance and was thus able to judge how successful the summary was. And in all cases it was 100% sufficient to understand the topic, which can be quite jarring for reviews of several thousand words.
I was also quite impressed by the AI functions, their integration into the photo gallery, specifically into the photo editing functions. You can suddenly achieve much more with them, and I dare say that thanks to AI, people enjoy editing more. You don't just have standard things like smart filters and the like, but you can simply remove objects from photos, move them around, enlarge or reduce them, and so on. What really took my breath away was the "retouching" of the photo when straightening it. The whole magic is that if you manage to take a photo crookedly and you decide to straighten it, artificial intelligence is able to "retouch" it so that its edges don't need to be cut off for straightening and its format doesn't change. Sure, this creates photos that are partly fictional, but if the image only needs to be straightened slightly, you can certainly forgive artificial intelligence for this fantasy.
Sure, the result isn't always perfect. When I tried to remove objects that I had previously photographed from the frame in different ways, on more complicated backgrounds, after zooming in, I could see that the texture of the background in the place from which the object disappeared was a little different than what it is by default. But we are talking about backgrounds made of crumpled fabric with glitter. Therefore, if you take photos on something more standard (for example, on a grassy garden, a homogeneous background, etc.), the result should be significantly better. So I think the AI-enhanced photo features are really fun.
Foreign language teaching in jeopardy for the future?
Another extremely interesting innovation associated with AI is the real-time translation of telephone (GSM) calls and messages. Everything works simply by setting the language the caller speaks and the language you want to hear during a phone call, and the phone takes care of everything else. It translates the caller's voice into a language you understand and translates your answers into a language the other party understands. You can also set the voice that the AI will use to speak. Although there is only one type of female and one type of male available, expansion can be expected in the future. If you are interested in translating text messages, this is done simply through integration into Samsung's software keyboard, so as a result, you no longer have to copy messages from, for example, a translator. Simple, but really effective.
You are probably wondering if this feature supports Czech. The answer is that it doesn't yet, but it is being worked on and should arrive soon. If Samsung keeps its word on this, then I think it can Applu (if it does not respond to a similar function within iOS 18) "burn down the pond", because the Czech localization can be a big draw for everyone.
You hear information about Galaxy AI great? It will surprise you all the more, just as I was surprised, that Samsung is going to release them on models as well Galaxy S23, their latest jigsaw puzzles from last year and the latest tablets. They will be available there in a reduced quantity and probably a little slower, but they will be there and that's the main thing. Pro For users, this is undoubtedly very good news, but from Samsung's perspective, I honestly don't understand this move. If I were them, I would rather keep this feature exclusive to the S24, because in my opinion it is a truly extreme attraction for all technology lovers. But Samsung has a slightly different mindset than I do.

Design evaluation is a purely subjective matter, but I will try to describe it as objectively as possible. Generally speaking, if you liked the previous generation Galaxy S, i.e. S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra, you will be satisfied in this case too. In terms of design, the S24 did not experience any revolution, but rather a pleasant facelift, for example in the form of a slight rounding of the rear edges and so on. Honestly? The S24 and S24+ look quite close to the iPhones, except for the rear camera, but I don't think this is intentional, but rather the overall progress of the market, which has been moving in this direction away from rounded edges for some time now. In any case, the colors that Samsung has chosen for this year's models are really nice in person.
I was probably most curious about how Samsung handled the model's titanium frame Galaxy S24, which he got as his first phone. And I must say that his conception of the frame seems to me, paradoxically, somewhat better than the one he chose Apple, miniat least in terms of workmanship. I have no idea what it is, but when I held my iPhone 15 Pro whether iPhone 15 Pro Max colleagues Adamand, together with Galaxy S24 Ultra, iPhone frames were much more likely to get scuffed, get fingerprints, and just get dirty. In terms of technical specifications, the phones are similar and one of the main criteria when choosing, apart from the operating system, is perhaps just the design and whether you like the photos from one phone or the other more. But testing new Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra It was fun, especially thanks to AI, and I'm quite curious about what it will show in this field in the future. Apple.
