Pro For the sake of completeness, it is worth recalling that mobile ID cards will not be a full-fledged alternative to physical cards, at least initially. The obligation to accept eDoklady will come to authorities gradually, specifically as follows:
- From January 2024, central administrative authorities, with the exception of embassies, will have this obligation.
- From July 2024, non-central public authorities, as well as regions and municipalities with extended powers.
- From June 2025, other authorities and entities that are required by law to verify identity.
- However, if some state or private entities voluntarily decide to verify digital data by themselves, they will have that option from the start.
