What CAPCOM promised in previous months, it has now kept. Specifically, it is about releasing the next Resident Evil game on iPhones, iPads and Macs. After the recent release of Resident Evil: Village on these devices, it is now in App Store discovered Resident Evil 4. As with the previous installment, playing it requires iPhone 15 Pro (Max), or iPads or Macs with M1 chips.
The game itself is in App Store available for 710 CZK as a base, with the DLC then available for 350 CZK. The good thing is that, just like Resident Evil: Village, Resident Evil 4 can be downloaded "for free" and the beginning can be tried without the need for a purchase, with the rest of the game then unlocked through microtransactions if you enjoy it at the above prices. As for the gameplay, according to the developers, it should be really excellent. There is both the option of controlling via virtual controls on the display, and of course the option of connecting game controllers, which will provide you with more or less the same gaming experience as when playing on game consoles. As for the graphics, they also seem really good.
I've been following it since yesterday. It was issued at 2 in the morning. The funny thing is that last night at 1 am Village cost 1050 CZK and today it is 416 CZK again. While RE4 is at the same price as it was yesterday, which is 710 CZK.
I'm kind of thinking about buying the Village after all. However, the advantage of RE4 is that it also includes a version for Mac..
