Not just for iPhones, iPads, Apple Watch or Macs must Apple develop software. From time to time, it will release updated firmware versions for its locators AirTag, which usually focuses on various optimizations and eliminating potential bugs. And tonight another firmware for AirHe released the tags.

New firmware for AirThe tag is marked 2.0.61 and on AirThe tag will be replaced by firmware 2.0.36, which Apple released last December. More interesting than the firmware's numerical designation is undoubtedly the style in which the Californian giant is releasing it to the public. On the day of its release, it will only be made available to 1% of AirTags, a week later they will release it for another 10% AirTags, then on November 14th they will release it for another 25% AIrTags and will release it to the rest of its active locators on November 28th. ProIt is still unclear what this special release system uses, just as the world does not know what the update will bring specifically. There are no public release notes for the update.

Update AirThe tag cannot be forced, so the only way to get it is to wait for it to install itself wirelessly via a paired iPhone. You can check via Find – Subjects – given AirTags, where you tap on its name and you will see Firmware.
