Nobody likes price increases. Unfortunately, Netflix is starting to approach it again in the world, and although it is not a significant leap, it will certainly not please its viewers with this step. When announcing the financial results for the past quarter, it officially launched a new wave of price increases that will affect the whole world. However, it has only started in the USA, Great Britain and France so far.ancii.

This is how Netflix's monthly subscription prices have now increased in the US/UK/FRancii:
- Basic – $11.99 / £7.99 / €10.99
- Standard – $15.49 / £10.99 / €13.49
- Premium – $22.99 / £17.99 / €19.99
It is the European, or rather British, prices that should interest us the most, as they are the ones that Netflix generally follows throughout Europe. It follows that while in the UK Netflix increased its price by one pound, in Franceancii by two euros. In conversion, we are talking about an average price increase of 40 CZK. When and, therefore, whether we will see a price increase in our country is not entirely clear at the moment, because abroad Netflix has a much freer hand in "raising prices" thanks to the subscription level with advertisements, however, given that it gradually increases the price of everything, a price increase would not be surprising here either. Would you still tolerate it?
Since the flexible display aims to increase the display area of mobile phones, we're cramming it into a tablet, which itself already has a large display!
I don't understand, 319 CZK is too much compared to the competition.
Now they will add fees for sharing accounts, I think it should be around 79 CZK.
And on top of that, will we increase the price by CZK 40? 😅
As good luck, but 438 CZK per month, with the fact that they don't even have an annual subscription event for the price of 10 months, so paying 5 CZK per year for netflix already seems too much to me, moreover, for 250 CZK, one would probably slow down all the other services .
Just for comparison, and yes, there is less content, but it is constantly replenished, and with Netflix, every other series is garbage.
HBO MAX 132 CZK
Disney CZK 165
Amazon prime 79 CZK
Skyshowtime CZK 89
Bottom line, all in all, I would overpay 4 CZK for 27 services compared to one netflix, which is really sad for me...
PS: Skyshowtime is the launch price, but I subscribed for that price then and still pay it, netflix had nothing like that. And others will probably start to struggle with password sharing as well, but for now the situation is as it is.
In my humble opinion, most people will not miss the content of the above-mentioned service (I will not comment or elaborate on it - anyone who has looked at NF once knows what we are talking about). You might want to pay that price for shared tracking, but their pointless policing of IP addresses is ridiculous. I dealt with it with Czech "support", where an arrogant lady explained to me in a foreign language that in America it is common for a family that does not live together in the same house to get subscriptions for each address. So pray for me, dear Netflix, you know what… :D
But the lady doesn't realize that in America they are hungry for content and therefore they don't care to pay for all those services within one household without sharing with others. But in our country, a lot of people over 40 don't need these services and are content with linear TV broadcasts, so their children have to buy it, and that's why no one can be surprised at the sharing if the parents are not interested in getting involved. I have it myself at home with parents 50+. They don't need it either, it's just a waste of money for them.
Americans especially don't mind consuming this trash content. On the one hand, I think of it as the content in general, when every other series is really strongly below average, and on the other hand, I really don't like the violent inclusion of LGBT+ even in otherwise great series.
As for gays and lesbians, I have nothing against them, transsexuals and the like seem quite strange to me, but let whoever wants to do what they want, but I really don't need to keep looking at it all the time. If it was sometimes, I wouldn't say so, but nowadays in basically every series, one of the main characters is gay, lesbian or something else, as if it wasn't so bad, let's face it, but it always screams to the world.
When I look around me, not every second gay, lesbian, Arab, Indian, Chinese, etc. is really a distorted reality, as some imagine it should be?
That's another reason why I don't watch it, putting such an ideology into every series...
And now I don't want to be homophobic, but if the impact on children was investigated, it could quite possibly be negative, when all the actors and characters are popular, etc. LGBT+ and the child is a normal hetero, he can't get the impression that there is something wrong with him poorly? Is he an exotic?
I think that everything is very harmful, and with this, America has run away and it is no longer healthy.
Opinions??
Karl, you have amused me a lot now :D if you look around you…. well, if a Chinese person looks around, every other person is Chinese.... if an Arab, then every other person is an Arab and if an Indian, then probably every other person will be the first to be an Indian... and wonder, unlike a country where 10 million people live, in China and India 10 million inhabitants are more of a village than a city... and wonder, that Netflix is somehow global and not intended only for the Czech Republic: And now consider that Chinese guy living in a village of 10 million people looks at netflix and says, man, it's annoying me, every other person around me isn't white
@karel – yesterday netflix reported quarterly results, for the last Q their number of users grew +9 million, the market expected +6 million, and most of them are real people who shared passwords before, it seems to me that most people know what they are getting into and your opinion is absolutely irrelevant from this point of view, in total netflix has 275 million users
It's quite similar to me :) Their monitoring of the Premiun plan for NOK 319 with the quality of the content is ehmm, yes, it's their choice, but I'm willing to pay again. Evaluated - the tariff is cancelled, only the subscription is still running until November. The feeling of relief is priceless :)
Pavle, are you really so relieved that you don't pay for Netflix? I'm just asking
Hello, the price for a year's Skyshowtime membership is 120 per month, or am I missing something?
