What Netflix started announcing relatively long ago is now becoming a reality. Specifically, it is about the introduction of fees for sharing accounts for the service, in an attempt to combat violations of the rules that have been in force for years. The rules state that only one household should use a Netflix account. However, the reality has been that passwords to accounts have been shared widely between family and friends in an attempt to save money on watching the service, or to "extort" as much as possible from it for a single fee. However, this is exactly what is happening now due to the introduction of fees for sharing accounts for the service.onec, which many apple lovers absolutely refuse to accept.

Almost immediately after Netflix began to introduce the fee on a larger scale around the world, a wave of discontent started on social networks. Users who have used the service extensively so far are calling for it to return to its old ways, because in their opinion Netflix only had a point in them. On the contrary, the current fees are completely unacceptable in their eyes, perhaps also because Netflix itself has made fun of password sharing and thus actually violating the rules in the past on its official Twitter account with the post "Love is sharing a password"
Love is sharing a password.

Posts from angry Netflix users are easy to find on social media. To make them easy to find and connect with, contributors often use the hashtag #CancelNetflix, thanks to which you are sometimes able to discover really interesting posts. Just to give you an idea, some users decided to cancel their accounts after 20 years of using the service due to the introduction of the sharing fee, as Netflix's sudden change of mind is incomprehensible to them. Pro For others, it doesn't make sense that they will have to verify their account in different ways if they want to use it outside of home, for example for travel, study, etc. It is true that social networks cannot tell how much Netflix users are going to lose, but it is clear that these grievances are certainly not going unnoticed by its management. It will therefore be very interesting to see how the whole situation develops, because if the introduction of the fee really meant a large audience loss, Netflix would probablyonec after all there was nothing left to do but retreat.
When it comes to travel and account verification, the reluctance is in place. But I don't understand why a provider should allow multiple people to use their services for one fee? This is normal business. This is exactly the same as if the whole family went to the cinema and only one person paid. We could be happy that it is only 79 CZK extra for the household.
What are you shaking please? 79 kc is for one person outside the household.
We pay a premium account for 5 members. The only difference is that we don't all sit in the same living room. So you are absolutely wrong with your cinema..
Sharing 1 respect between 50 different people is fine, but that's not what netflix is about at the moment. Learn to read and organize thoughts in your head.
Have you tried it, mom? Where did you see that it was on the device??? I get asked about the household everywhere. And sharing 1 account for 50 people is definitely not appropriate.
Wouldn't it be best if there was one account and people from all over the world could watch Newtflix for free?
It's nothing but Netflix. Learn to read or go back to school or just try to earn more and stop crying like a brat.
So you have been breaking the rules of the service for a long time, they have it in the terms and conditions for a long time. They just haven't solved it yet.
79 kc is for another household.
I really don't understand, who's in charge there? Do they really think they have such great content that people will pay any money for it? Netflix was already the most expensive of all, so someone said "we don't have many people, but I know how to fix it, we'll make it even more expensive" :D Does anyone really think that if that person pays 64 crowns, they'll suddenly cancel it and start paying the full 319? They'll know right away by how their profit is now reduced :D. And by the way, no, the account can no longer be shared between 5 independent people, it's only possible with max two extra members and each costs $8/month.
No, not eight dollars, only CZK 79. That's free.
They have it figured out well and you will be disappointed, they will get more income from it. Maybe not now in 14 days, in the results of the last quarter, it only worked for a while and it has some time lag, but in September it will be seen.
If I pay for 5 people, let 5 people watch it. Simple
Let them give 4K for one person for €6 and I buy
I don't pay because these rules are dogshit.
€6 for Showtime and €7 for Disney+ and I'm fine
Netflix is floundering like a bunch of dumb garage guys. They came up with it at the worst possible time => when they have complete shit on offer and a lot of people are trying to save because of inflation and price increases. Literally genius sabotage.
But that's just your feeling that they have mushrooms there. Normal person nestHe can't even watch the older stuff he chose, let alone the new stuff.
You don't have to look at any nonsense. You can see that you have nothing to do. After 3 months Tried the basic thing and signed off for complete domination of the crap and it's quiet. It's the same with others. Every once in a while something nice comes out somewhere, so I'll try it only at that time and bye. Or I'll get it another way when everyone wants to have their own film industry. That was already a better cinema concept, I went to see what I wanted. But it's declining and they don't send everything to cinemas.
I think it will hit a lot in Europe, but quite possibly in America as well. The timing alone is bad, two percent inflation and suddenly a person has to pay CZK 158 more for a service?
I pay for the service with my parents, probably like everyone else, I'm one family, but suddenly because I live elsewhere, I have to pay another 79 CZK, my sister commutes to the intr again, will that be another 79 CZK?
We already have a total of 477 CZK per month, which is quite a ridiculous amount, if I look at their production in recent years, what were the good new series? Personally, I've only enjoyed Stranger Things, they finished The Witcher and I haven't heard much about anything else.
Disney is better for children, skyshowtime is better for older users, both at a fraction of the price of Netflix...
A lot of people had netflix for the reason that once in a while some at least average series came out and the split amount wasn't so terrible, but when you suddenly have to pay another 158 CZK for something you don't watch...
Personally, I will definitely cancel it, I see much more sense in subscribing to it a few times a year for this money, unlike Disney+ or HBO max Netflix didn't even see it as a smart way to offer 12 months for the price of 10, to make it seem more convenient and simpler to the customer, so intermittent subscriptions with Netflix are not a problem.
I would like Netflix to not succeed in these practices and have a large outflow of users, it would clearly outline for other streaming services as well that people simply will not pay 480 CZK per month, especially at a time when people usually use the services more, that would be for " stupid series and movies" one paid over a thousand crowns a month 😅
You act as if other services don't undercut themselves with a low price so that anyone would want them. Or like they have big catalogs. Or as if they have so much diverse new content, in the pile of which there are a lot of things both for relaxation and quality.
Everyone doesn't have an account with their parents, why on earth. I pay them their own
In one household, yesterday I got a message on my tablet outside my address asking if I was watching Netflix while traveling. I confirmed that I was and the code was sent to my wife's email, who forwarded it to me and I was fine. It needs to be done within 15 minutes. ProSince my wife can't always be on email, I created a rule that if an email comes from netflix.com, the message will automatically be forwarded to my email. I'm curious when the temporary travel access will expire. I'd also like to know how many "travelers" are allowed this 😁
Netflix has been testing charging for account sharing abroad for more than a year, and the results of the outflow in 2022 were lower by half than Netflix itself expected. On the contrary, the income of new users improved. I don't expect that a few loud voices on the Internet will change anything, for that I am interested in when Disney will come up with it, which is not doing very well financially at the moment (it promotes sharing as a feature of the service). I believe that the general resentment towards Netflix on the net is only fueled by competing services in order to take over its users (just my assumption).
So, in my opinion, they definitely don't have it well thought out. I think a model of tiered subscriptions, for example based on time, would be much better. It's much fairer to people who, for example, live alone or don't want to snoop on it from morning to night. This eliminates the solution from which one watches and whines if someone shares something with someone.
And only the strangled and embarrassed statues cry again
I might be one of those who canceled the whole family, I had it for 6 years and the last 2-3 years the added content rather irritated me. I only kept it because it was cheap when it was budgeted for the whole family and I could apply anywhere. But with this change, the circle has closed and I'm not alone, I know more people around me who canceled their Netflix families.
