About a year ago, we informed you in our magazine that DJI introduced a brand new drone called the Mavic 3. This model boasts a telephoto lens with a 28x hybrid zoom and a 24mm Hasselblad lens with a 4/3″ chip that can shoot at a resolution of 20 MP and shoot up to 5,1K video at 50 FPS or 4K video at 120 FPS in slow motion. The price of this drone started at 53 crowns, which might not have seemed terrible a year ago, but unfortunately it was introduced just before the global crisis, which was caused by many negative events in the world. The DJI Mavic 3 stopped being popular mainly because of the price, and interest began to decline. However, in order to at least somehow get out of it, DJI has now come up with a new version of the aforementioned drone called the Mavic 3 Classic.

The new Mavic 3 Classic is simply cut down compared to the original version. Specifically, it does not offer two lenses, but only one - the aforementioned telephoto lens has been removed, leaving only a Hasselblad camera with a resolution of 20 MP, 4/3″ CMOS chip, 24 mm focal length, f/2.8 – 2/11 aperture and 84° field of view. As for the other specifications, they are identical to the original Mavic 3. This means that the drone can fly for up to 46 minutes, which was achieved by using a redesigned battery, a more efficient motor, better propellers and a change in the body design, which has up to 35% less air resistance compared to the previous generation. Of course, there are all kinds of sensors for surrounding obstacles with a range of up to 200 meters, thanks to which you can be sure that with the droneYou won't run into anything. There's also the ActiveTrack feature for better user tracking.onem, an improved remote with longer range, a 65W fast charger and much more.

However, the DJI Mavic 3 Classic offers another very important novelty, which is not related to its specifications. It is the first drone on the European market to be certified with the C1 designation according to the new rules for the operation of commercial and recreational drones in the open category, due to its weight of 895 grams. Since the C1 certification falls under the A1 restriction class, this droneonem may not fly over a gathering of people, nor over individuals. To be able to control such a drone, you must be a registered pilot and you must also have completed an online test - you can learn more in the article I attach below.
