The Yu-Gi-Oh card game is back with its next virtual iteration. In February, fans of the popular card game were treated to a project subtitled Master Duel. It focused on realistically transferring all the complex mechanics from the physical version, offering aonea platform comparable, for example, to the digital version Magic: the Gathering, Magic Arena. Now, developers from Konami are teasing the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh: Cross Duel. This focuses much more on original, fresh gameplay, which will offer a game that has been proven for decades in a completely new form. We don't learn much from the trailer that the developers released to the world two weeks ago. At least it shows an effort to convert the beautifully crafted models of individual monsters into digital form.

The main attraction of Yu-Gi-Oh: Cross Duel is supposed to be four-player battles. In those, you can compete both against all three players at once, and in the company of a partner against a second pair of opponents in cooperative mode. Due to the increase in the complexity of the user interface, the upcoming game will offer a more accessible form of Yu-Gi-Oh itself. The game will be worth a try for both seasoned veterans and complete beginners. You will soon be able to see for yourself what this form of the famously complicated game will look like.
