When most players think of a game with turn-based mechanics, they probably think of some version of a Japanese RPG or various types of strategies that use the slower nature of the gameplay to allow them to think through individual decisions. Few would attribute such a character to the upcoming new game from Westrun. A game from the developers at the Jimjum studio Studios promises turn-based gameplay in the title itself, but it doesn't entice you with complicated maps full of enemies. In Westurn, you will play the role of a gunslinger trying to defeat your opponents in classic western duels. As a concept, the game sounds quite strange, but the developers have already proven themselves very capable with their previous project Froglike, a frog roguelike where you play as a frog lord of time.

We can only hope that the developers will keep their other qualities in the western game along with their love of puns. The fights are supposed to take place on simple screens where you will see your opponent and some important data. The most important ones are your special abilities. They can win you some even seemingly lost fights, but your opponents are well aware of this, so their big weapon will be to temporarily suppress your abilities. At the same time, each of the opponents should be completely unique. In addition to the addictive gameplay, the developers promise a ton of different unlockable bonuses, so if the game catches your eye, you can spend a lot of time with it. Westurn is already published on July 15.
