Charging Car Mount is essentially quite miniminimalistic wireless charger with a square base on a “leg” with a joint, which is attached to the car interior – specifically to the dashboard – using 3M VHB tape. If you are interested in the dimensions of the product, in the case of the base it is 5,8 x 5,8 x 1,2 cm, and after adding the leg you get about 4,5 cm – of course, depending on the position or if you want the direction of the charging pad. As for power, this is provided by the included 12V cigarette lighter charger and USB-C/USB-C cable. Unfortunately, although the charger is designed primarily for iPhones 12 and 13 because of MagSafe, it charges “only” 7,5W instead of 15W, as is the case with certified pieces. This speed is not bad, but on the other hand it is not a miracle either.
Peak Design is known for not skimping on manufacturing materials, and this charger is no exception. You can look forward to a metal body, which not only gives it a luxurious feel but also makes it very resistant to damage from various knocks.ancand so on. As for the design, it is a purely subjective matter, so each of you must judge for yourself whether you like the appearance of the charger or not. But I have to say for myself that I am really satisfied with its design, because it looks inconspicuous and therefore, in my opinion, it will blend in with the interior of the cars without any major problems.

And what is a charging holder like in everyday life? I have to say that it is really successful. Its strength begins with the installation itself, which is a completely simple matter, actually just revolving around sticking the holder in the ideal place. Once you do this and let the glue stick to the surface properly, you are ultimately a winner. Then all you need to do is attach a few cable holders if necessary so that the power cable does not hang out unnecessarily anywhere, and charging or simply holding the phone can begin.
The vast majority are certainly primarily interested in the strength of the iPhone's magnetic attachment to the charger. I tested this both with the PeakDesign cover with an integrated magnet attached and without it, i.e. only with the magnets used Applem, and in both cases the strength of the magnetic connection is, I dare say, enormous, so there is no need to worry about the phone falling out of the holder. Proof of this can be the fact that I am with iPhonem. 13 Pro Max attached to it, he drove hundreds of kilometers on second and third class roads (I salute the road workers in the South Moravian and Olomouc regions) without a single fall, even though these were roads that they don't mess with tank training facilities. In this direction, the holder is therefore really relied on.
I didn't experience any problems with charging during testing, which is activated immediately after you attach the phone to the holder. The speed is the aforementioned 7,5W, which in the case of the iPhone 13 Pro Max means charging from 0 to 100% in about three hours. Yes, faster charging in a car would definitely not hurt, but on the other hand, you need to remember that this is faster charging than via a USB-A cable and at the same time more convenient charging than when connected via cable. So personally, I don't mind this at all.
However, what bothers me a bit and slightly spoils the impression of the holder as such is the stiffness of its joint, which is really high for my taste and makes it relatively difficult to rotate the phone in the direction you want it. It's not anything outright extreme, but I would be pleased if the stiffness was user-adjustable, or miniAt least a little smaller and I could rotate the holder better than I can now.
