Apple introduced brand new operating systems a few long months ago. Specifically, he did so at a developer conference WWDC, where new major versions of operating systems are traditionally introduced every year. This year we got to see iOS and iPadOS 15, macOS 12 Monterey, watchOS 8 and tvOS 15. All of these systems, except macOS 12 Monterey, have been available to the general public for a long time, so anyone who owns a supported device can install them. In our magazine, we are still focusing on new features from these mentioned systems, and in this article we will specifically focus on Find from iOS 15.

Finding an offline or switched off device

If you manage to lose or forget your device somewhere, Find My can help you. Within the Find My application, which you can run on any device that has access to the Internet, you can view the exact location of a specific device. In addition, you can play a sound on it, lock it, write a message on the screen or completely erase it. However, all of these options are not possible if the device is not connected to the Internet or if it is turned off. In iOS 15 you are yours iPhone but able to track even if it is offline or turned off. However, it is important to mention that the ability to find an Apple phone when turned off is only possible with iPhones 11 and later. You can find the Find My settings on your iPhone in Settings -> your profile -> Find -> Find iPhone.

New widget Find

With the arrival iOS 14 last year we got a complete redesign of the home screen. For example, we got the App Library, where you can store unused apps, but in addition Apple konealso came with completely redesigned widgety. We are able to insert these into individual pages with applications between their icons. Within iOS 15 the Californian giant came with a brand new widgetem Find, which could be useful to many of you. If you add it to your desktop, you can display the location of the selected person or your object. There are two sizes available in both cases, small and medium.
