The most expensive TV series project in history is complete. It will premiere on September 2 next year, which is almost exactly 85 years to the day since the publication of The Hobbit (September 21, 1937). The first series does not yet have an official title, but it will have eight episodes, which will be released every week. Amazon, on whose platform the premiere will take place, has already ordered another series. Let's hope it will be worth it. The Lord of the Rings has such a fan base that the creators cannot afford to hesitate. The first series cost 465 million dollars.

What is the reason for filming the Lord of the Rings series? After all, there are 3 feature films and 3 Hobbit films.
I've seen them many times but I really don't know what the series is for...
And what is the reason for remakes (remakes of classics) like Jumanji? Money.. Personally, I hope that this will not be the case, since it should not be a remake..
PS: It should be set before Sauronem (the last info I heard somewhere was about a year ago, so I won't vouch for its timeliness), so it's something "new". It shouldn't be a plot twist. And in that case, I don't know why it's called The Lord of the Rings :D
