LEGO and The Lord of the Rings? This is a combination that calls for a good dose of nostalgia and detailed processing! The LEGO Icons building kit brings to life one of the key scenes of the entire saga - the moment when Déagol discovers the Ring of Power and Sméagol succumbs to its seductive power. At first glance, the compact model with 181 pieces hides much more than you might think. The creators made it a point to capture the atmosphere of this moment not only on land, but also underwater, which adds dynamism and originality to the building kit.
The entire scene is designed as a display model with rich details. You will find a buildable river scenery with plants and a tree, as well as a rotating boat that adds to the interactivity. It is given away as a free gift with the recently introduced set Bilbo Baggins' birthday party in the Shire and only from April 2nd to 4th. So if you like this set, you need to hurry up and get it. It is already clear that it will be a great rarity, just like the LEGO Harry Potter – Borgin and Burkes: Letax Network set. It was also only available as a gift for a larger LEGO Harry Potter set, and at that time it was priced at 499 CZK on LEGO.com, while now it is being resold on auction portals for 1300 CZK and more.
So I don't know, but 15 hours after the article was published, I see the chicken and the egg as a joke and not this kit. Where did the mistake go?
It's hard to say. Maybe the exclusive set is sold out and LEGO is giving away something else instead. But it could also be a mistake on the Czech version of the LEGO website. On the American LEGO.com you get both the chicken and the Lord of the Rings Sméagol. Yesterday, only Sméagol was available on the Czech LEGO.
