The arrival of reverse or bidirectional wireless charging has been rumored for iPhones for quite a few years now. However, speculation about its arrival is now becoming a reality.onereality, because it iOS 14.7 on the latest iPhonech will unlock. However, there is one huge catch. Its usability will be completely different than Apple fans have probably imagined.

That they are targeting the iPhones 12s iOS 14.7 reverse charging support revealed Apple yesterday, relatively discreetly, through a supporting document issued in connection with the performance MagSafe Battery PackIt literally states that these devices will be able to be recharged both classically via cable Lightning, as well as using the iPhone 12 or 12 Pro, to which the power cable will be connected. And here is the catch. Reverse charging on iPhones 12 will work only when the cable is connected to them, while on competitors it works all the time, and it will only work with MagSafe Battery Packy, which are probably the least necessary accessories that you would charge with this charging style. Purely theoretically, it could happen that Apple with the release iOS 14.7 will announce that reverse charging works with other products, but given that there is not even a line about it in the support document (and it can be assumed that there would be), this is very unlikely.
...well, did anyone expect something else? For example, that they would unlock universal reverse charging? What else to say? Nothing at all, nothing at all. RIP :-(
that's right, we'll take a ready-made solution from the competition, grind it up and deploy it :D
Unreal.. Apple really already.u. As soon as the phone asks for battery service, I will not change anymore and will buy a competitor this time.
I hope they don't force this update on everyone when it's only for ip12!!!!
It's great how someone writes an article and no one even thinks about it: in reality, reverse charging will only help you degrade the battery in your mobile faster - you charge it and discharge it more often. Reverse charging only when connecting the cable and with the magsafe battery, it causes you to suddenly charge iPhone and magsafe battery, and you don't have to charge one first and then the other. at the same time, it is more convenient to charge iPhone with a cable (the iPhone battery heats up less than with wireless charging). Personally, I would probably never use reverse charging on a mobile phone, and I don't even like it on headphones. nestI wish I could beat them to death, but I sometimes manage to do it with my mobile phone...
I agree.
I had it from Samsung, it worked with the watch, and in three years I only used it when I was testing how it worked. Pro To me, it's a feature that's good on paper. A cool feature that few people use regularly.
