I have a toothbrush at home that I can connect wirelessly to my iPhone, I tried it once. I even have a massage gun from HyperIce, which for some incomprehensible reason can also be connected to iPhone via Bluetooth, but none of them are as bizarre as Wheelguard. On Kickstarter, this project is trying to raise enough funds to create special bolts for car wheels that will protect owners from wheel theft. It is true that nice wheels often cost significantly more than one hundred thousand crowns. They are usually fitted with Pilot Sport or Super Sport 4Ds for another thirty thousand, and if someone removes such wheels from your car, the damage is really high. And that is only if the thief is so considerate and puts something under the car and does not simply let it fall to the ground.

This problem is addressed by a smart bolt that would be connected via Bluetooth to a box plugged into your car's OBD port. The box in the OBD would also have an integrated SIM card, and the moment someone starts removing the wheel bolts, it would receive information about this action and alert the car owner via the internet that something is wrong with their car. Although it is actually an interesting idea, it is probably one of the most bizarre things that can be connected wirelessly to your car. iPhoneThe price of one kit with four screws and an OBD box would then cost €99, or just over two and a half thousand crowns.

The fact that this is a truly bizarre matter is also evidenced by the fact that to date only $1000 has been raised for the project out of a total of almost thirty thousand dollars. And this despite the fact that the project was shared on his YouTube by one of the most famous car enthusiasts, Shmee150, who has 2,260,000 subscribers. Despite the fact that there are still 28 days left for the smart screws to be created, during which they must manage to raise the necessary amount, it is already quite likely that this project will remain in the dustbin of history rather than appearing on our cars.
