On today's market, we can find hundreds of different monitors that differ from each other in one and the same thing. Of course, we are talking about the diagonal, resolution, panel type, response, refresh rate, and so on. However, it seems that the competitor Samsung is no longer playing by these established patterns, as evidenced by their Smart Monitor series . These are quite interesting pieces that combine the best of the world of monitors and televisions together. Let's quickly introduce this series.
Monitor and smart TV in one
We would currently find 3 models in the Smart Monitors menu, which we will get to later. The most interesting are the general functions. These pieces not only bring something new, but at the same time reflect the needs of today, when due to the global pandemic we spend most of our time at home, where we also work or study. That is exactly why each monitor is equipped with an integrated Tizen (Smart Hub) operating system. The moment we are no longer working, we can immediately switch to smart TV mode and enjoy streaming applications such as Netflix, YouTube, O2TV, HBO GO and the like. Of course, this requires an internet connection, which Smart Monitor provides without unnecessary cables via WiFi.
Mirroring content and Office 365

What personally impressed me the most is the presence of technologies for easy content mirroring. In this regard, Samsung has also satisfied us Apple fans and, in addition to supporting Samsung DeX also offers Apple AirPlay 2. Another interesting feature is support forancelectrical package Office 365When using the Smart Monitor, we don't even need to connect a computer to use it, as the computing power of the monitor itself will take care of everything. This way, we can specifically access the data on our cloudu. Pro For the aforementioned task, we only need to connect a mouse and keyboard, which we can again do wirelessly.
First class picture quality
Of course, one of the most basic things about a quality monitor is a first-class picture. These models specifically boast a VA panel with HDR support and maxwith a maximum brightness of 250 cd/m2. The contrast ratio is then listed as 3000:1 and the response time is 8ms. What's even more interesting, though, is Adaptive Picture. Thanks to this function, the monitor can adjust the image (brightness and contrast) depending on the surrounding conditions and thus provide a perfect display of content in any situation.
Available models
Samsung currently has in its menu Smart Monitors two models, namely the M5 and the M7. The M5 model offers a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and is available in 27" and 32" versions. The best of the best is the 32" M7 model. Compared to its siblings, it is equipped with a 4K UHD resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and also has USB-C portem, which can be used not only for image transmission, but also for powering our MacBooku.
Full HD resolution is already insufficient on a 27" screen. The pixels are already so large that they are not only noticeable, but can be counted with enough patience. macOS is great at scaling images, there's no reason to buy anything lower than 3840×2160.
