The best films about strong women from Czech and foreign history on VOYO

In honor of all strong women, the VOYO video portal included the stories of the most famous of them in its film library. Viewers will thus be able to relive the lives of British, American, but also Czech icons who have inspired entire generations. So let's go through the three most interesting ones together.

Diana

The women of the British Empire are and will continue to be an attractive topic. In addition to the Queen and the much-publicized Duchess Meghan, one of the unforgettable ones is of course Lady Diana, Princess of Wales. VOYO presents a biographical film that maps the last two years of her life. The film's screenwriter, Stephen Jefferys, met Diana in person, which inspired him to write the script: "When I talked to her, I realized that the image of a stupid goose that the media had created about her was wrong. She was quick-witted, witty and intelligent. This interview served as an inspiration for me when writing the film. I always returned to her voice when I thought about what she might say."

iron Lady

A place among strong British women definitely belongs to Margaret Thatcher, also known as the Iron Lady. It was she who showed the world that politics is not only the prerogative of men. She was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for eleven years. She was portrayed in the film by another interesting woman, actress Meryl Streep, who won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and many other awards for her performance in this role. Viewers can recall the story of one of the most interesting politicians on the VOYO video portal.

Milada

Our country also has a lot to offer when it comes to extraordinary women. The fate of JUDr. Milada Horáková touched many people. In 1950, she became the victim of a judicial murder and is a symbol of strength and determination for Czech citizens. Her last words resonate in the minds of thousands of people to this day: "I am falling, I am falling, I have lost this fight, I am leaving honorably. I love this country, I love this people, build its prosperity. I am leaving without hatred towards you. I wish you this, I wish you this..." The biographical and historical film Milada won two Czech Lions and is also available to watch on VOYO.

The VOYO video portal of course offers many other images about interesting and inspiring women who have influenced world history, e.g. the First Lady of the USA JackKennedy (film) Jackie) or Joan Stanley (film The story of a spy).
