Developmental studio Spry Fox has traditionally focused on quality rather than quantity. The company has only released six games in the past decade, ranging from cute teddy bear puzzles to chaotic multiplayer shooters. When Spry Fox announced its new game Cozy Grove in the middle of last year, many were saddened by the fact that the game would only be released on PC and consoles. However, that has now changed with the announcement of a mobile port, which will be exclusively available on iOS thanks to the game subscription Apple Arcade, and the game looks suitably interesting.

Cozy Grove may at first glance remind you of one of two famous games. The art style refers to the spooky Don't Starve, while the gameplay is more like the relaxing Animal Crossing. An interesting combination of inspirations comes from the story, which puts you in the role of a ghost guardian who has decided to camp on an ever-changing island. During the day, you will explore the mysterious forests and bring comfort to the ghosts there. With your constant efforts, the bleak island can then becomeonea colorful place suitable for normal life. A big part of the game will be crafting various items and decorations and customizing your home. The developers promise over forty hours of gameplay, so you will be staying in Cozy Grove for a while. The game is released this spring and will be available for free as part of a subscription Apple Arcade.
