Within the operating system iOS we got the Health app with the arrival of version iOS 8. However, during that time, the Health app has not expanded to other devices in any way and has remained exclusive to iPhoneOn the one hand, of course, it makes sense – on the Apple Watch Health data would probably be unclear due to the small display and MacBook We definitely won't carry it with us just to count calories burned. On the other hand, it would be nice if we could at least easily see how we are doing today in the Health app on macOS. Combined with notifications, it could be a very capable assistant.

Apple For now, it probably doesn't plan to put the Health app on macOS, even if it could be done with its help. ProThere was nothing complicated about Catalyst – just look at the Messages or Maps app in macOS 11 Big Sur, which were ported using it. The concept of the Health app in macOS was attempted by Jordan Singer, who in the past was responsible for, for example, the concept of operating system for Apple GlassesThe concept of the Health application is developed for the macOS 11 Big Sur operating system environment - for example, there are rounded corners and in general the application is very similar to those of iOS or iPadOS 14. According to the concept, in the left menu of the application, it should be possible to easily switch between different sections of the application. For example, there is an overview, below which are records of individual health items, i.e. activity, hearing, heart and others.

The entire concept of the Health app for macOS was created in SwiftUI, thanks to which developers can easily create the user interface of the application so that it can be used universally in iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOSSince the concept of this application is very similar to the current Health app from iPhone, so of course you can't look for any news in it. The question remains, however, why the apple company didn't extend the Health app to its other devices, or at least to the iPad. We all understand that the Health app was released in 2014 specifically for iPhone, but after six years, given the connectivity of all Apple devices, we should be able to view health data on all Apple devices, similar to other apps. Hopefully, we will see the Health app on at least iPadOS in the near future, which could then allow for a port using Project Catalyst also on macOS.
