Add the medications you are taking
You can also use the Health app to remind you when it's time to take your medication, supplements, or vitamins. To add medications to the Health app, open the app and tap "Browse" in the bottom bar. Then, go to the "Medications" category and tap "Add medication." In the wizard, you'll enter the medication name, strength, form, and other necessary information. Don't forget to set a schedule for taking it, including time and frequency.
Remove medications
Have you stopped taking a medication and no longer need notifications? To remove a medication from the Health app, open the app and tap “Browse” in the bottom bar. Then, go to the “Medications” section and select the medication you no longer take. Scroll down and tap the “Delete medication” button and confirm the action. If you are not sure whether you will need the medication in the future, you can archive it instead of deleting it. In this case, you will hide the medication from the list, but you can easily reactivate it if necessary.
Record your mood
Use the “State of Mind” feature in the Health app to track your mood. This feature lets you track your emotional state throughout the day and get a general picture of your mental well-being. You can track your mood through notifications in the Health app or on your watch. Apple Watch at different times of the day, including your overall mood for the day. As you record, you'll see a slider with options ranging from very unpleasant (purple) to neutral (blue) to pleasant (orange). Drag the slider to best match your current mood.
Health trends
Explore the fascinating world of health trends right in your Health app. This feature gives you a unique perspective on how different aspects of your health and physical activity change over time. Want to know how your daily step count has evolved? Simply open the Health app, tap the “Trends” tab, and select “See all health trends.” Here, you’ll see a clear graph of your data that will help you better understand your body and motivate you to live a healthier lifestyle. See how your efforts translate into numbers and discover new connections between your habits and your health.
Additional medication reminders
With the arrival iOS 17, the Medications feature in native Health offers a useful option for additional reminders to ensure you take your medication on time. To enable this feature, open the Health app and go to the “Browsing” section. Then, head down and tap “Options” and then “Notifications.” Here, select “Medication Reminders” and activate and customize the “Additional Reminders” feature to your needs. Thanks to this feature, you will never forget to take your medication again and will be sure to follow your treatment plan.
