Japan has a new supercomputer called Fugaku, which is 2,8 times more powerful than IBM's most powerful supercomputer to date. After 11 years, Japan sits on the throne in this segment. Fugaku has already joined the fight against the coronavirus, as he created a simulation of how the virus can spread in closed rooms. Scientists hope that its use will also help in the search for a vaccine. Fugaku's performance is 415,53 petaflops.
