A quantum computer is a machine that, to put it simply, uses the phenomena of quantum physics to perform incredibly fast calculations. Google and NASA are working on something similar. Their study briefly appeared on NASA's website and, if it was not a mistake, contained incredible results. Their machine calculated a certain problem in 3 minutes and 20 seconds. The world's most powerful supercomputer would take 10 years to solve the same problem. But since the article disappeared very quickly, we still have to wait for official confirmation.
