The violent riots in the United States are filling the front pages of all the news and somehow put the coronavirus pandemic on the back burner. Violence and looting continue to escalate in dozens of American cities. Unfortunately, they did not avoid these troubles either Apple Story, albeit many Apple from these concerns he concluded. As we showed you in the last article, apple brick and mortar stores are really catching on. So some rebel can be happy how easily he came to the apple device. But the opposite is true.

As we already know from the past, stealing an apple product is not very profitable. Images of one of the stolen iPhones appeared on Reddit and Twitter. The display reads “Please return to Apple Walnut Street. This device has been disabled and is being monitored. Local authorities will be notified'. It's known that Apple it has tracking and locking tools on its devices if they have been stolen from customers, which is only a good thing.
Exactly how the feature, which prompts thieves to return the device, works is not entirely clear. It is possible that this is a feature that is specific to the device that is still in the store. So it could be some proximity sensors. Either way, it's definitely a great feature. But it is not clear in what way Apple passed on information to the relevant authorities. Maybe it's just an intentional fear-mongering so that the thief will be scared and return the device on his own.
It works very simply. All products in stores have a demo installed. iOS with demo applications and content. In order for this to be installed, the SN device must be entered into special software that manages these devices. Mno and once the SN is in the system, it is not difficult to send a specific block or remote modification to the given piece, see. popup on stolen during the riots.
And it's not racism, Antone Pavlovich?
Nailed it. 😂 😂 😂
You really are the "boy" Cook Does he think this will help with the return? 😂 all that's missing is for him to promise them a cash reward for the return
Probably not for return, but maybe next time they'll decide to rob a different store, because protecting the green man is a joke to the rabbits.
Well, I don't know, but the devices intended for direct sale probably won't have this security
"Perhaps it's just a deliberate apprehension to scare the thief into returning the device on his own."
I can already see the thief coming to return it instead of throwing it away. Just like the scene from Hoří my doll https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYfrVDH2new

The price of the device itself for Apple will not be decisive. They are more concerned with making sure that such things do not pay off. What is the point of robbing someone's store, stealing iPhone or other device and risk getting caught when the thing is useless anyway. The person in question will throw the device away and go beat up another store next time.
I'll just clarify that the demo iOS is only installed on products on display. Not those in the original packaging in the warehouse. Tracking there would be a real mystery to me.
The question of whether the "demo iOS"Not everyone has a device inside them...that could be why it's needed for activation" iPhone be online or have a SIM card (or whatever weird requirement there is)
At least unlike Android, you don't need your account/email to activate.
Od iOS 13 you don't need to have a sim card or be online
Hi, no, the original SW used to be played using iTunes, I have no idea if it has progressed and now it is done using a QR code from the server in a certain step of the start guide.
Anyway, I think they can send the message to any iPhone, they just need the IMEI/SN. Stolen iPhones can be detected simply by an inventory after the theft.
Best regards,
bullshit!!!
All they have to do is record the stock according to name/name (other barcodes) and that way they know what they should have in stock and what they don't have. And what they don't have, I block it on the dial. Simply
.. we are not spying on you :-P :-D :-D
It's from anyway Apple actually unnecessary, stores have 100% insured, so what's the point? The police should catch the thief and kneel down on him
Maybe it's not so much that the phones are returned, but that the thieves don't get paid and that the prices of new iPhones don't decrease by selling stolen goods.
