In connection with the new type of coronavirus, there is also talk of new diagnostic options. For example, they should be able to Apple Watch Series 6, but third-party devices can also serve this purpose. Scientists from Northwestern University have invented a tiny supplement, resembling a slightly bulkier patch. This device will be attached to the patient's neck area, where it will be able to detect the initial symptoms of a possible infection with the coronavirus - such as a cough or difficulty breathing.
The sensor is then wirelessly synchronized with the iPad, on which a more thorough analysis will be performed. Unlike a one-time temperature measurement, which for many reasons may not always be 100% reliable, this sensor can be worn twenty-four hours a day. Thanks to this, doctors will obtain a relatively large amount of necessary data from which they can draw much more accurate conclusions. Thanks to its small dimensions, the sensor is comfortable and inconspicuous, and with the use of continuous monitoring, it can detect the disease even at a very early stage. The size of the sensor resembles a postage stamp. It is made of soft material and is not equipped with any additional wires. It should be placed in a hole in the collarbone area, from where the device will record chest movements, the intensity and frequency of coughing, breathing sounds, but also measure heart rate or body temperature.

John A. Rogers, who led the technological development of the device at Northwestern University, recalls that among the first symptoms oneThe symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough and difficulty breathing. The researchers specifically chose a location for the sensor where all of these symptoms could be reliably monitored. In addition to being used in patients, the sensor could also be used for early detection of COVID-19 in frontline workers who are most at risk of infection. The device can of course be used repeatedly – it must be removed once a day and placed on a wireless charger, while the charging process simultaneously synchronizes with the iPad and analyzes the captured data.
That's great, it's a shame that no one has invented a patch for, say, cancer or some other real disease... But maybe we'll see when someone makes more money from it than from medications 😂😂
But there are others too oneEmergencies, which manifest as increased coughing or shortness of breath.
