I'm not god, but I think I am. Personal experience: a friend's iP11 takes just as good photos in night mode as my Xs with the NeuralCam app. The fundamental difference is that it takes a picture and calculates it immediately, whereas my application takes a series of photos for 5 seconds and counts for 10 seconds :) So I assume that the difference is not in the optics or the camera chip, but in the computing power....
@Dovi The speed of both photography and calculation will also have something to do with access to system resources, i.e. both the photochip and, most importantly, the A13's Neural Engine. It would be necessary to test NeuralCam on that 11 and then it would be seen if the in-house solution is better, although I reckon it is.

We actually compared the same photos, and I wouldn't say much better, but a little bit better. But you have to look for those differences. Only the speed of taking pictures is simply miserable. But what surprised me was that the NC can also take pictures of people in motion...

Pro I consider it an ideal device. I don't enjoy taking pictures with my mobile phone. When I want to take really nice photos, I reach for a SLR camera and any camera phone can slide in there. It's easy enough for normal use. It can make calls, write messages too. It can be online. It plays music for me, takes some basic photos. As a bonus, I don't have to deal with nonsense, because despite its mistakes in some updates, I'm with iOS never experienced such hell as after updates of some competing phones.
