Alza.cz is introducing a number of measures in connection with the current situation so that customers can shop truly maximal safely or peacefully from home. More and more people are buying drugstore and PET products on the e-shop, the reaction is directly related to the measures implemented against COVID-19. Year-on-year increases are approximately 200%. In the last seven days, the company has delivered more than 100 pieces of drugstore and PET products to buyers. Another 000 pieces of these products were prepared directly for branches for immediate collection. Alza is also actively working on the possibility of making a product available to customers for rapid testing for the virus in the comfort of their own home.
"The branches' share of turnover in these two categories (drugstore and PET) is currently 68%. The best-selling products are clearly antibacterial and cleaning products, necessities for the little ones - baby milk, baby food, diapers, wipes, detergents and granules for dogs and cats," said the sales director Alza.cz Petr Bena and added: “Customers clearly prefer personal collection, on average they spend a few minutes in the store. Alza.cz is also actively working on the possibility of making a product available to customers for rapid testing for the virus in the comfort of their own home. At the moment, the test is in the process of IVD certification with an effort to be granted an exemption for accelerated market launch, which may be granted by Minithe health department through the SZÚ or SUKL. The test based on the detection of antibodies in the body of the testee works very simply, similar to diabetes testing. Once this product is approved for sale in the Czech Republic, Alza.cz will immediately launch the pre-order system and begin sales.
