When you think of an outdated computer, you probably think of hardware from the turn of the millennium. In this case, however, we will go back several decades - specifically to 1976, when the world's first Apple computer was created. This happened not long after the meeting of Steve Jobs and Stephen Wozniak, who embarked on the project together, thus starting an era that changed the face of the computer industry beyond recognition.
It all naturally started in the garage where Steve and Woz started their company Apple Computer and during the years 1976 and 1977 they produced 175 different computers, which they then intended to sell as a complete set. The very first effort, the model Applu I, but there were only 70 of them, 12 of which appeared at a vintage computer festival held in California last weekend. What makes it all the more remarkable is that each piece is owned by a different owner, and all of the owners were willing to make the long journey to the festival from different parts of the United States, Europe and the Middle East. According to a member of the federation behind the festival, it was literally a “Disneyland for nerds”, as there has never been so many computers gathered since the 70s Apple 1 together.

It's quite admirable how close together old electronics enthusiasts can be. At the same time, the event surpassed a historical milestone thanks to the number of pieces of this model that appeared at the exhibition, many of which were functional. At the time, one assembled assembly sold for $666.66, which is quite a lot of money even now, and back then only a few people could afford a computer. Even the mentioned price had its justification. Because Wozniak loved repeating numbers, which was reflected in the final amount. Today the model Apple 1 sells maxat auctions, for tens of thousands of dollars. Likewise, the manual, which was auctioned for an incredible 13 thousand dollars. KoneAfter all, collectors are willing to do anything to own this historical piece and do not hesitate to spend huge sums of money. In any case, it is a pleasant reminder of the time when it was Apple still in its early days and the company was driven by a passion for a cause and a desire to innovate, improve and change the world.
