They constantly appear for sale on various online bazaars AirBoth first and second generation pods. Unfortunately, as is the nature of humanity, it often happens that someone can offer a great price AirSecond generation Pods. These days, no one gives you anything for free, especially not at a loss. In the case of the charging case for AirThe differences can be easily identified by the location of the LED. For the pods themselves AirHowever, you would have a hard time finding the differences at first glance – you probably wouldn't be able to tell them apart. So that when buying AirYou didn't get a second-hand pod, and so that you are generally more knowledgeable, I have prepared an article for you in which I will explain all the differences between AirWe'll look at the first and second generation pods.

Differences in cases
As for the charging case, the difference can be seen at first glance. If you hold the charging case in your hand first generation, so you can notice that LED diode determining condition AirPods located inside the case under the hatch. When second generation charging case is, however diode placed on front side the body itself. You can also see the model numbers for yourself. You can find these with both cases from the inside of the lid. In case you own a charging case first generation, so will be the model number A1602. If, on the other hand, it is about the second generation cases, so you can find the model number A1938. Air1st generation Pods can only be purchased with a 1st generation case, Air2nd generation Pods with 1st generation and 2nd generation cases (1st generation is cheaper, 2nd generation is of course more expensive).
Differences in AirFloors
As I have already mentioned several times, the differences between AirYou would have a hard time finding the Pods as headphones themselves. In this case, only identification will help you model numberYou can find this on one of the AirPods from lower sides under the rounding. The model number is located in the first line printed text. If there is a model number on the handset A1523 or A1722, so it is about AirUnder first generation. If you find the model number on the handset A2032 or A2031, so it is about AirUnder second generation. All necessary images for proper identification can be found in the gallery on the right.

I hope that after reading this article you will have a clearer idea of what AirThe pods you are looking at, or are planning to buy. Of course, I understand that it is difficult to remember model numbers, so in the case of a personal meeting for viewing AirDon't forget this article. It will help you avoid being scammed, and it will definitely save you money in the event of a scam.
Hello, I would just like to point out that your article is misspelled and may mislead people. Airpods 2019 (2nd generation) has two versions! The first (cheaper 4790 CZK) without wireless case contains the box from the first generation and airpody from the other = it is about airsecond generation pods without wireless. Second (more expensive 5790 CZK) Airpods 2019 with wireless case = Airpods 2nd generation including a new box that can be charged wirelessly. I understood from the article that you will only choke as the second generation airpods with wireless and that's wrong because airThe pods are in both cases the second generation and the price varies depending on which charger you choose.
Good job, thank you
You're welcome :-)
The article is not misspelled. Try reading it again. We discuss both cases and AirI think. But we would state or imply in it that the 1st generation case = Air1st generation pods, that's really not in it.
Yes, it is not misspelled, so I apologize, but in this issue, which 80% of people do not know, I would like to clarify it more :-), so that's more what I meant. From the mentioned article it is more clear that the second generation is only with a wireless case, but if I'm not mistaken, it is not stated that the second generation also uses the case from the first generation in a cheaper version :-) . From a personal point of view, since I am quite interested in it and communicate it to people, it is ignorance that there are two versions and people think that the cheaper one is the first generation. Or they buy the cheaper one and are surprised that they do not have a wireless case when they buy the second generation. Airpods are always 2 generations (vendor designation – Airpods 2019), only as I said, "box = charger", does not distinguish between generations. That's how I wanted to clarify it. PS: Based on this article, I resolved with the client that it is not the second generation, because the box is the first generation.
Mr. Filip, this is not how you react to feedback. Maybe you'll figure it out in time. But to the point: The article is unclear, poorly structured - read it again and try to work on it. Or get rid of it and just write so that people can read it better.
I apologize, but this is simply a misunderstanding of the written text, which is why we will simply not correct the articles. The article is absolutely clear and well structured. It is just a matter of understanding that the subheading Differences in Cases indicates a paragraph with differences in cases and not with differences between entire AirPods. We are not writing for a herd of rascals, but for technology lovers, from whom I personally expect a certain level of intelligence and therefore also that they will understand the text. But it is probably a case-by-case matter.
Please have an article on how to distinguish IPXS from IPXR. Thanks😊
Mam airpods with a wireless case but they can't be charged wirelessly... do you think it's the charger? iphone I charge it normally... "Zens Dual" charger
Yes, it's a charger problem. Contact Zens support, you need to flash the firmware in the charger (you need to send the charger to the Netherlands).
Especially with headphones AirPods are becoming more difficult to identify over time, partly because the markings on the headphones are fading. Otherwise, it is not mentioned that the headphones AirPods 2gen have a serial number..
In my opinion, DCH's reaction is correct, I have headphones of the 2nd generation and after reading the article I thought that the seller cheated me and instead of the 2nd generation I got the first. It should be noted that generation 2 headphones are sold with two types of cases
I have deliberately divided the article into two parts – the first part is about the cases and the second part is about the cases themselves. AirPodum. If you look closely, in the first part of the article, i.e. Differences in cases, you can notice that there are two different cases. The first one is a classic charging case and is marked A1602, the second one has wireless charging and is marked A1938. There is no third case, simply and simply there are only two cases. In short, to AirYou can choose a first generation case for the second generation. There is nothing complicated about it in my opinion. It might help you if you perceive the case and AirPods as two different products that are compatible with each other.
Hello. I have a case with a diode in the front but the case type is A1620. That's strange, isn't it? According to the article, it's like this variaIt doesn't exist. Thanks
Well, I don't know, thanks for the comment above. I would like to correct the article. I ordered two pairs and according to the article I understood, like everyone who has them for the first time and doesn't know, that I have a problem.chatBut the twos came to me by mistake in the case of the one. If I hadn't looked into the discussion, I would have already been advertising them because of that.
It's quite simple. And if the editors weren't arrogant, they would have edited the article slightly and everything would have been clear. But the reason is that we can't read and think...
There is no such thing as a 1st generation case and a 2nd generation case, which is a misleading designation. There is only a case with wired (original) charging and then a case with wireless charging. Well, and AirThe second generation Pods are available with both cases. That's it.
AirPods 2 with regular case have SKU MV7N2ZM/A. AirPods 2 with wireless charging case have SKU MRXJ2ZM/A.
...and for completeness, the wireless charging case can be purchased separately (not as a "spare part", but as a separate product) under SKU MR8U2ZM/A.
But if Martin buys headphones, I would probably expect him to know from the product description that it is either a model with a classic case or a case with a wireless case. Don't get mad at me, but if someone who doesn't read the product description complains about the headphones because they didn't understand the article, it would probably be their fault and not ours. Everything is clearly written in the article - including the fact that Air1st generation Pods are sold as standard with a classic case, while Air2nd generation Pods may arrive with two cases.
Mr. Filip, it doesn't make sense - I'm talking about the goat, you're talking about the cart. You will unconsciously defend your point of view. If instead you spent time trying to understand what we are discussing here, you would have a clear article and a better relationship with the readers (I know, this is not the point, the "text factory" goes for clicks and ad impressions).
Someone bought AirPody and after reading your article he thought the seller had scammed him. ProC? ProYour article is unclearly written, there is no simple explanation of the situation at the beginning (which a few commenters have already written about), and the section about cases is extremely misleading (you write about the first and second generation charging cases, considering the first to be wired and the second to be wireless; perhaps it is not so difficult to understand that this is confusing for many people - but according to you, they are just idiots who have a problem understanding written text).
Have a nice day, good luck!
