PepsiCo is in talks with a Russian startup that offers brands the ability to project their logos into the night sky. ProThe event is being held by special satellites in orbit. The world-famous beverage manufacturer confirmed that its Russian subsidiary has agreed to a partnership with StartRocket, under which it will launch a test "promotion from space."

PepsiCo was using this unusual way to promote its energy drink called Adrenaline Rush. StartRocket said it would use a layer of microsatellites to project the company's logo, and on its website it offers a closer look at how such a projection works. "The universe is supposed to be beautiful," the StartRocket website says.

ProHowever, the project is not exactly arousing enthusiasm among many people. Social media is discussing "space pollution" in this context, and some are even calling for a boycott of PepsiCo products. In its defense, PepsiCo stated that the announced partnership with StartRocket was a one-off and that it would not use this technology in the future.

The company StartRocket states on its website that eight hours of space projection will cost 200 dollars, and for 500 dollars it can provide a ten-day promotion. At the same time, the startup is trying to raise $25 million for its future operations. But StartRocket is not the first provider of a similar type of promotion - one Japanese startup offered companies the possibility of projecting their logo on the surface of the moon. The startup managed to raise $2017 million in 90 for this activity.
