This year too, in the new iPhonech will discover processors manufactured in TSMC factories, which has been the exclusive supplier of this computer in recent years.onentu. And it seems that the production of A13 chipsets is literally knocking on the door. The manufacturer is completing the preparation of improved production technology, thanks to which the new processors should be even better. The actual deployment should then take place at the end of the second quarter of this year, when the start of mass production is planned.

The new information was first reported by DigiTimes, whose sources have proven to be quite reliable in the past. According to it, TSMC will use an improved version of the manufacturing process called N7 to produce 7nm processors, which will include the A13. Pro. The current version of the manufacturing process is called N7+. Although it is not clear what exactly has changed in the manufacturing process, we can expect an increase in performance and better energy efficiency in the new A13, as every year. However, given the performance of existing processors, it is more than likely that we will be “only” around lower units or tens of percent in this regard this year. So do not expect such a big jump as there is between the A10 Fusion and A11 Bionic chipsets.

ProThe A13 processor will very likely be the last Apple processor built on 7nm technology. Pro TSMC plans to start producing 5nm processors next year and even 3nm processors shortly after. If this plan is successful, it is more than likely that this type of processor will also be used in iPhoneThe Californian giant is very satisfied with TSMC as a supplier and there is no indication that it intends to move away from it.

And what do you think about the performance of iPhones? Do you think there is still a reason to increase it rapidly, or should it be Apple on the contrary, focus on something completely different, such as significantly reducing its consumption and thus extending the life of the phone?
