If you still remember June WWDC, you probably remember the presentation of group calls via FaceTime. This new feature, which Apple into the system iOS and macOS tooneIt should handle up to 32 participants in a call, even with video. Unfortunately, group calls are not included in the first live version of the system. iOS 12 did not fit. Already at beta system testing is Apple apparently removed due to technical problems. However, in the beta released yesterday iOS 12.1 group calls reappeared.

After group FaceTime calls, users call iOS and macOS have been around for a really long time. However, it wasn't until this year that Apple decided to implement this new feature, which will now make connecting with more people much easier. On the other hand, we are not completely won yet. With last year's system iOS 11 We have witnessed several times that Apple tested the promised new feature in beta, but removed it shortly before the release of the live version. That's why we waited for the option to save messages on iCloud about three-quarters of a year, although we were given this news Apple first showed it at last year's WWDC with the fact that it will arrive on apple devices very soon. New iOS However, 12 should be completely different in this regard, so the arrival of group FaceTime calls in the second version of the systems is very likely.
Here's how FaceTime group calls were introduced:
The target group in this case is about 1%. I've never used a group call and I probably wouldn't even be able to fully concentrate.
The fact that you didn't use it doesn't mean that the target is 1%. :-) On the contrary, I think a lot of people will use this function. I will certainly welcome it.
Possible. We talked about it with colleagues, it used to be called "conference calls", no one ever used it, it was also probably in its infancy. I wonder how it will work.
I don't need it, just as I don't see the main point iPhone send each other stupid MEMORIES.
@mike-biker: Conference calls are a common thing in business - definitely not the 1%. It's more a question of how many people will use it on FaceTime, which is purely an Apple thing and doesn't have a client for other platforms.
I don't use it at all and I don't need it...the target is 10 percent or less...so useless
Interesting reaction from the quoter APPLELOVER. Less than 10% of users = useless. Cardiostimulator is used by less than 10% of people, so useless? Anyway, I belong to the group that plans to use Facetime in such a way, since I live abroad and I would like to meet at least one member of my family / friends at the same time. And I think that there are a lot of people in Slovakia... very many people who dropped out of the country and could buy themselves an iPad or iphone without headache and use e.g. Facetime for high image quality and reliability. And I'm not talking about the fact that it's a good step to further motivate companies to buy apple furnished.
I can't imagine making a group call to someone either, and we'd all see each other. A completely useless feature. It would be better if Apple would implement it. pay.
Just because you don't use it doesn't mean anything. I make a Facetime call with my girlfriend when we are away or with friends or family when we want to see each other. Now when I'm in a group it will be fun :)
You have two girlfriends and you're going to call them both at the same time?
in the company we usually have group calls (video calls), but not everyone does apple, so I won't use it. Skype has always been able to do this for a long time...
