Microsoft is working behind closed doors on a foldable handheld device with two displays, which should be a device somewhere between a smartphone, a tablet and a laptop. The Andromeda project, as it is currently called, should see the light of day within two years.

The Verge server managed to obtain an internal document Microsoftin which the concept of the device is introduced. ProAndromeda would like to Microsoft to follow on from the successful Surface line. The device should feature a large folding display, but it is not yet clear whether it will be one large display or a design with multiple displays.

The internal document also found photographs that appear to show prototypes of the handheld device. According to the photos, Andromeda should also support a stylus. There should be an ARM-type processor inside the device, but it is not yet known whether it will be from Intel or Qualcomm.
