Are you one of those types of users who don't bother to, for example, snack on their computer and sprinkle a few crumbs into its keyboard? Then the following lines may interest you. In the following years, we could expect keyboards that will not mind these impurities at all.

Dirt that can occasionally get into the keyboard can be quite annoying for users. However, it's not just about the fact that individual keys are harder to press or that when you press them, you hear an unpleasant crunching sound from crumbs underneath. For example, sugar in the keyboard can corrode various contacts and thus damage the keyboard in the long term. We probably don't even have to mention spilled drinks. However, a rather interesting patent could solve all this. Applu, which the apple company registered back in 2016.

Although it is according to Applu current Butterfly technology (or butterfly mechanism), which is used in new MacBooků Pro and 12” MacBookIt is much more resistant to various impurities, but unfortunately it is not perfect. ProIn the future, we could expect some kind of special seal that would prevent any objects from getting directly under the individual keys. Thanks to this, even the aforementioned liquid spills would not damage the keyboards of Apple computers.

It's hard to say at this point whether Apple will decide whether or not to actually deploy similar technology in the upcoming keyboards. Although it is a very interesting idea, it is still only a patent and therefore it is not written anywhere that it will actually appear sometime in the future. However, there is no doubt that it would be quite a revolution.
