I agree Apple is getting worse and worse with each new product, but there is one major problem - there is nowhere to go. I have a gaming PC where is it Windows 10 and this system is a pain to use, it doesn't know how to use gestures, the graphical interface is weird, it takes a long time to find something, everything is terribly complicated and on top of that something breaks with every major update. And Linux? Well, I currently have Fedora 27 installed and when I found out that to set up 5.1 sound I have to edit a conf file in a text editor, I wasn't too happy about that either. And on top of that, there are no programs. And as for phones, Android is a bit minia small price (say from the price iPhone SE above) will probably be usable, but again it's confusing, unnecessarily complicated, and slows down more than iPhone (so I am not slow at any of my iPhone I haven't noticed it during the time I've been using them, the 5S was just as fast at the beginning and the end, the 4, 3GS and 2G the same and the current SE doesn't slow down either). So even if Apple it really makes it worse, so even if I wanted to, I have nowhere to go...

Regarding some slowdown, I experienced it with Mac OSX when I updated from 10.7 to 10.8 and then to 10.9 then 10.10.onefrom 10.11 to Macbooku Pro 15″ 2011. I suspect that 10.11 El Capitan brought the opposite, a slight acceleration.

iPhone since I am miniI changed my phone about every two years, so I didn't notice any dramatic slowdown, but maybe I didn't even notice it. Otherwise, yes iphone 6 worked best with iOS 8 max iOS 9 u iOS 10 there was a slowdown. But for that iPhone 6s and above run well even under iOS 11.
It occurred to you all that a phone from 2014 might not work as well with 2017 software as it does iPhone 7,7+,8,8+,X from 2016-2017? Normal trend in the IT field…..
