Apple and above all its most famous product – iPhone, is celebrating a big anniversary today. Exactly 10 years ago today (January 9, 2007), Steve Jobs at 9:41 AM he showed the first one at the Macworld Conference iPhoneAs you all know, it was a revolutionary product that significantly changed the development of mobile phones. Apple He managed to create a device that was, on the one hand, incredibly simple, so even a small child could control it, and on the other hand, it offered advanced functions, even if in some areas it was not the most advanced on the market. iPhone divided the tech world into two camps – some considered it a revolutionary device, while others laughed at it and claimed that such a product could not succeed at the price it was selling for. But time has shown how horribly wrong the latter group was.

Even after ten years, there is no phone on the planet that sells better. iPhone is even the most successful product in history and in recent years its popularity has grown rapidly. The first generation did very well. The iPhone became a phenomenon right after its introduction, but it only went on sale five months later, on the 29th of May, and only in the US. At the end of 2007 it reached the UK, France and Germany.ancie, Portugal, Ireland, Australia and also to neighboring Germany. It was never sold in the Czech Republic. When sales started, there were people standing in front of the stores Appplu and operator AT&T thousands of customers long lines and within a short time most branches had sold out. Himself Apple then announced that it had sold 30 units in just 270 hours.

First iPhone compared to iPhonem 7:

First iPhone It was also quite decently equipped with hardware for its time. It offered an ARM processor S5L8900 with a clock speed of 412 MHz from Samsung (with a PowerVR MBX 3D graphics coprocessor), 128 MB of RAM, a 2-megapixel rear camera (it could not record video), a 1400 mAh battery, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB of storage (4GB was discontinued after a while), Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), Bluetooth 2.0, a proximity sensor, an ambient light sensor, an accelerometer and, most importantly, a 3,5-inch display with a resolution of 320×480 (163 ppi), which had revolutionary Multi-Touch technology, which allowed you to control the phone comfortably with your fingers and supported various gestures.

But the main advantage of the iPhone was not so much the hardware, but the software. Steve Jobs announced at the conference that their phone runs on a modified OS X, which was first referred to as iPhone OS. Only from the third version (specifically from iOS 3.2) became him iOS. First version iPhone The OS only offered basic applications. Back then, there was no App Store, so it was not possible to officially install additional applications as we know it today. The application store came with the second version of the system and the first iPhone supported iPhone OS up to version 3.1.3.

Nowadays, the first iPhone relatively rare. Anyone who owns a functional piece with the original box and perhaps even the first version of the system is truly lucky (see our reader). Such pieces are sold on auction sites for tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of crowns and their price increases every year. The highest value is then given to pieces that are packed in the original box, which still has the undamaged foil on it. The price of such pieces ranges between a quarter and a half thousandonem Czech crowns.
