Nintendo pulled out again today after several years. It introduced a completely new game console, which certainly has something to impress. This is a console that you can use just about anytime, anywhere. Nintendo Switch, as the novelty is aptly called, is a kind of cross between a home console and a portable device.

Nintendo introduced the Switch through a video where we can see that it is an absolutely hybrid device. Sometimes you have the Switch as a game controller, then as a tablet, then as a handheld, and then as aoneor a real home console that you connect to your TV. It all revolves around the Joy-Con side controls, which can be removed from the Switch body itself and turned into a tablet, and the Joy-Cons can be used as wireless controllers or connected to a special grip and turned into a controller.

Both detachable Joy-Cons can be used by either one player in each hand, or each player will control the game with one Joy-Cononem. However, multiple Joy-Con controllers can also join the action, allowing players to enjoy some serious multiplayer action. However, Nintendo Switch will also be available Pro Controller, a small controller, great for traveling, for example.

You can also connect the body itself to a special docking station, turning the Nintendo Switch into a home console connected to your TV, which is currently dominated by PlayStation and Xbox. However, the big question mark was whether dock will also support the Switch hardware, but as it turned out later, everything is handled by just one processor inside the Switch, which is backed by Nvidia. It is a Tegra processor with integrated graphics built on the same architecture as GeForce graphics cards. Tegra will provide great graphics and amazing performance, at least according to Nvidia.

Nintendo and its Switch will be supported by many well-known publishers, who will prepare attractive games for the new console. Acti will not be missingvision, EA, Bethesda, Konami, Ubisoft, Warner Bros or Square Enix. Switch could also get Call of Duty and from the footage it is clear that we will also be able to play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or NBA 2K. You can find the complete list of partners in the gallery above.

The Nintendo Switch will go on sale in March next year. While we wait, we can still look forward to more game previews, a list of titles that the Switch will bring to the world, and more details about the hardware.
