Stanford University announced a new semester this week where people can learn to code for free iOS application in SwiftThe course was called “Developing Apps for iOS 9 with Swift" and Professor Paul Hegarty is taking students and iTunes U subscribers to it. Everything is done through iTunes and you can sign up for free. The first introductory lesson is now available here.
Stanford offers similar courses on programming and development for iOS for several years, this year's course will focus on iOS 9 to Swift, its tools and APIs. The timing is all the more interesting because Apple just announced a developer conference WWDC 2016, which is scheduled to take place from June 13 to 17. There is a lot to learn on the course Xcode and coding basics that most courses don't cover. Prerequisite is knowledge of the C programming language and object-oriented programming.
