Company supplier Apple, Japan Display has revealed interesting details regarding its second generation Pixel Eyes LCD modules that it will have Apple use in future products. Japan Display was able to reduce the thickness of the frame around the display from 0,8mm to 0,5mm, the new displays will also offer better black quality and will respond to 1mm thin styluses. This means that it will be possible to make strokes as thin as one millimeter when drawing or writing.

However, what is most interesting for many people is the fact that the LCD module will offer a new function, which is nothing less than the ability to use the display even when your fingers are wet. Although some smartphones today already manage this, thanks to the fact that they have built-in both capacitive and pressure sensors, the second generation LCD module from Japan Display can do it on its own.

iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch they currently don't respond very well to touch with wet or sweaty fingers, which should change fundamentally with the arrival of the second generation of Pixel Eyes LCD modules from Japan Display. This feature could also have a major impact on the production of waterproof iPhones.

Analysts believe that it is this generation of Pixel Eyes displays that will become part of the iPhone 7. However, this is only speculation by analysts and we will see if Apple will really take advantage of this generation of displays.
