Apple allows developers to use Live Photos sharing in their apps from iOS 9.1 and Tumblr seems to be the first major social network to take advantage of this opportunity. Tumblr today released its updated version for iOS, which brings the ability to share Live Photos from the new iPhones 6s and 6s Plus. If you want to share a "live photo", just update, log in to your account, allow the app to access your gallery and then just select any Live Photos you've taken. You can recognize these "live photos" in the gallery by the circle icon in the bottom corner.
When browsing photos on Tumblr, you'll recognize Live Photos by the same icon as in the gallery, except instead of the bottom corner, the icon is in the top corner. If you see one, just press and hold firmly on it to play it. If you have an older iPhone or iPad, you can hold your finger longer on the photo and activate it even without 3D Touch. If you view the photos on the web or on an older iOS system, you are out of luck and the photo will not be released.
When this feature was introduced in September, Apple announced that it will receive Live Photos support FaceBook this year, but no one knows when we will see it, but there is still plenty of time in FaceBookThey don't have any. Sharing Live Photos has so far been limited to iMessage, AirDrop and ICloud, so supporting photos in another app is welcome news. Of course, the general 3D Touch functions are not missing here, so when you hold down the app icon hard, you have the option to select only one option, which is search. In addition to 3D Touch and Live Photos, Tumblr has a new Send-a-Post function, which allows you to send messages to other users.
