Microsoft has recently focused on acquiring productivity-focused startups and most recently added the popular Wunderlist app to its portfolio. The report first appeared as speculation in the Wall Street Journal, but was subsequently confirmed by CEO Christian Reber himself, who was behind the successful German startup. In addition, he boasted about the statistics, saying that more than 13 million users use the app, and users have created almost 1 billion plans to complete to date.
Despite becoming the owner of the Wunderlist app Microsoft, for now users have nothing to worry about and the app will continue to receive updates and work as before. The Wunderlist team remains in Berlin, so the development will not take place in Redmond. However, it is possible that Microsoft it will start integrating Wunderlist more into its portfolio later and will start integrating it into other applications such as Outlook or Suite Office. Alternatively, it will be built directly into the system Windows as an alternative to the Reminders app that we have available on Mac and iPhones.
