We don't review games very often. But today I just have to make an exception, he won't let me. I recently remembered that actually on my second Apple I still have a few dollars in my account from a gift card I got from a friend. There was nothing to worry about, I immediately jumped in and downloaded the game Goat Simulator, which was on sale and which I had been wanting for some time. I don't play games much, but when I do, I'm always entertained by some nonsense that has no head or tail and is guaranteed to lift my spirits. The goat, as the star of this "simulator", fulfills all of these requirements to the fullest.
Like I said, I'm entertained by some nonsense. Probefore you buy or turn on the game, you have to tell yourself what you actually want from it. You can't expect much, you have to know that it's a recession and that some gravitational and natural laws don't apply here, that it's simply not a game that will make you think or some graphically incredible massacre like NOVA or Call of Duty. The whole concept has a great story, studio Coffee Stain Studios (even the name has a twist) decided to come up with something unprecedented and crazy – and that's how Goat was born. Simulator for PC. People went crazy about it, the game started making money ten minutes after it went on sale! And then, naturally, a version for iOS. It's clear that people enjoy unconventional genres. That's why Goat is Simulator one of the best-selling games in App StoreIt's a joke, but it has an idea and decent potential.
In the game, you play, as you might have deduced from the name, as a goat. You run around the city with it, jump, drag things behind you by licking them, just goofing around. You have two cities to choose from, the possibilities are huge, you can jump high on a trampoline, go to theanceller and destroy everything there, or climb a ladder to a crane from which you jump onto a hang glider. It all sounds crazy, but that's the fun. Nothing limits you. The goal of the game is up to you, you can explore all the nooks, crannies and surprises. Of course, there are tasks that you complete and then receive new characters and trophies for them. The developers probably went completely crazy here - you can play as a giraffe, a penguin, an ostrich, but also as a giant goat, a disgusting goat, or a tornado goat. Proeverything you can think of.
You can complete tasks by jumping as high as possible, getting run over by a car, or taking on a task.pack and fly through, or by hitting a gas station with all your might, which of course explodes. Then there are the trophies, which are scattered around the city. They can be really hard to find, because they are hidden and you will spend a lot of time looking for them (it took me quite a while). As I mentioned, there are no rules in the whole game, so it is not a problem to destroy a car with a light bump or climb a wall like Spiderman (by the way, the spider-goat is one of the characters you can play as). All this in fairly decent graphics, accompanied by an amazing soundtrack, where you will not actually recognize what musical instrument is playing. But that is part of the game and it perfectly describes it. The developers are also constantly trying, a major update was recently released that added a new city, so I am again entertained. The only problem is the controls, which are sometimes really difficult, for example when IancYou're riding on a crane and you don't want to fall down, but on the other hand, it's not such a disaster, you can get used to it.
There are a lot of people who will never understand this game. But that's clear, everyone likes something different. But if you're tired of Angry Birds and want to experience something new to relax, where you'll laugh and goof off, then Goat is Simulator for you. I really liked the goat as the main character, but I understand that not everyone will appreciate its charm. Unfortunately, it is an expensive affair, the game costs €5. But I bought it on sale for €1, so you can certainly expect a similar event to be repeated several times. Either way, I recommend the game, maybe you have always wondered what it would be like to run around the city on all fours and beat up passersby!
