The first thing that came to my mind after the presentation of the iPad mini 3 is that it Apple made the day before eventoh Despite expectations, the third iPad mini brought nothing but a golden cover and Touch ID, but it is sold at the same price as last year's model, which now sells for €299. The absence of a more powerful processor or a better camera is apparently nothing to deter the technicians at iFixIt from going to Apple Store and they bought it. Of course, only for service purposes, which includes the quite traditional disassembly of the entire product down to the last screw. And what did they find?

One would expect that disassembling the third iPad mini will be the same as last year. But that's not quite true. Although the process is largely the same, the button Touch ID brings with it new problems when disassembling the tablet. As they revealed, the wiring around the new Home Buttonu is made really hastily, and to keep everything together, the cables were glued to the front glass with hot melt glue, which would Steve Jobs as a lover of details (after all iPhone 4 contained a tab for removing the battery!). The fact that they stuck it in the factory Home Button to the glass using glue, increases the cost of replacing a broken windshield, since this button must be peeled off the windshield and glued to the new one. Finally, iPad mini 3 earned the same rating as its predecessor, 2 out of 10, which is again due to the difficult repair of the tablet, which is now thanks to Touch ID even more complicated than before.
