Apple along with iOS 7.1.1 also released a security update for OS X. This time, the company has left out OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard from the security update for the first time and has focused only on the latest versions of OS X. The update is therefore only available for OS X Mavericks, i.e. OS X 10.9, where it is 80,5MB in size and is labeled Security Update 2014-002. Owners of OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion can also download the update, where the update has the same name, but its size is 135,9MB. The update is also available for owners of OS X 10.7 Lion and OS X 10.7 Lion in the server version. This is the first time that Apple did not release a security update for Snow Leopard at the same time.
Apple also published Safari 7.0.3, which fixes stability and security. The OS X Security Update fixes security issues, improves website autofill and the security of this data, and many other small things that are important from a security perspective.
