Apple iOS Although 7.0.6 did not bring any global problem that would affect most users, there are still complaints on discussion forums from users who, after switching to the latest version, iOS is plagued by a problem with extremely fast battery drain.
ProYou can really tell the problem at first glance, because it's not that the battery runs out ten minutes earlier than before, but you can directly observe the battery discharge with your own eyes by the percentages running down almost constantly. ProThe problem is not only manifested by a draining battery, but also by the device overheating. Interesting screenshot appeared on the server osxdaily.com, where they present a warning iOS at the moment when the battery drops below 20%, but already at this moment it is clear that iOS It only shows 17% battery. That's how fast the power is draining. ProThe problem can be fixed very easily using the following procedure.
- Quit all running applications by removing them from the Multitasking menu.
- Restart iPhone by holding the button Home and the Power button until the device restarts.

Are you sure it's an update? I have been observing this for a long time.
When it is iPhone discharged and not used for a long time, the battery will simply drop below 20%.
But the user will be alerted to this with this message only when iPhone unlocks, and the battery will drop to 17% during that time.
Flashlightonekonethe lady won't keep 20% just because I don't touch the phone. It seems logical to me…
Exactly as Majdy says... if I notice the message after a long time, of course I won't still have 20% there. I'm fine with the battery, I tested it last week and it lasts three full days without charging. I would give less than 4, because I still had about 23% left, but I didn't want to rush it another day, because I had a demanding day planned. However, I use the phone normally, so not much games anymore, the web quite a bit... brightness at 90%, 3G and wifi on... so I can't see.
Roman: Well then... I posted the comment at the same time as you.
A guy should read his emails rather than do stupid things. screenshot…;)
@lukas31 – 3 days?? Hmm with no s iPhone I didn't get to two... (Only if I have data turned off and off at night... then even 4:-) ... but only on the water:-)
Voldzi: yes, three days. I'm not kidding. It surprised me too. But like I said, I don't play games. They take a lot. I have it miniho.
Iphone 5 by the way.
This is really strange, because with a combination of calls and frequent surfing, you can't get 3 days.
So try to describe in more detail what you have and don't have active, because I would take that kind of stamina as well. :-)
I don't play games at all, I don't watch movies. A few calls a day, a few text messages and whatsapp and also quite a lot of surfing and without shancand endure until the rainbow day. iPhone 5
Oh, and I'm at 80%.
3 days a week iphone 5C, and in the evening I had 30%, but I have already charged itjacku..at night I give the plane oats..
Lukas31: so you're either making it up or you have some new prototype of an iPhone with twice the battery capacity...I already have my fourth one iphone and I've never gotten by with a flashlight for more than 2 days...and that's honestly closing all apps. With iPhone I have a record with the 5S... Usage 7 hours, 29 minutes, Standby 1 day, 22 hours and I had 2% left and I used it normally... and don't tell me it can go longer, because it really can't!!! Without that, without turning off wifi, internet connection, etc... The only thing I have turned off is most of the location services in settings-privacy-location services-system services, I have everything turned off there. But I'm not buying such an expensive phone that I have to turn off 3G, wifi, reduce brightness, etc...
And as for 7.0.6, the battery lasts about 1/4 less than before, so I'm quite curious if this "restart" procedure will help :) maybe yes
ProI'm sorry Lukáš, don't write shit here.
My iP5 also lasts three days. I don't know what's so special about it. I charge regularly every second/third day. I only turn on data when I travel, otherwise I have WiFi everywhere.
prof.Xavier : yes, it's usually not a problem if you turn off data, but Lukas321 bragged that he has everything always on even with 90% brightness and it lasts him almost 4 days :D
So maybe the data will be deactivated when the wifi starts up, right? Like I'm not sure, but that's how it should work.
Tyjo, but I don't think you use that word at all. When I was on the farm and winked at him for just a few minutes in the morning and evening, I was happy in 2 days. And I had almost everything turned off.
Oh, and to the question, what's so special about it? That in all the reviews they criticize the battery as it has a weak endurance of barely a day. Well, some of us here are surprised by the incredible endurance, in fact, according to you, with normal use.
Yesterday it happened to me that iPhone 5 with a battery of about 38% suddenly wrote out of nowhere that the battery was at 20% and then turned off. After turning it on, it only drew an empty battery andonewhich charging. After I connected it to the charger, it started up after a while and had 37% battery... I have 7.0.6... And just last night, a colleague told me that his son had a similar experience...
Gentlemen, I believe that it is up to us Apple will send iOS 7.1 so we can use our flashlights to light things at home. Our iPhones last a hell of a long time!!
:))))
On the contrary, I iOS 7.0.6 battery life has improved rapidly. I have an iP4S and after about 30 minutes of listening to music it was only 75% drained... now I can listen to musicchat even 5 hours and it will only reach 75% :)
For me, the definition of normal phone use is e-mails, text messages, internet and calls (from the most used to the least). If it is common for someone to use steaming games and navigation etc. then it is different. From a general point of view, it is not possible to test endurance in this way.
I use iOS 7.1 (I suspect that beta 5 ??)
The battery is OK in my opinion. When the animations are touch-sensitive (they don't slow me down) I can say that it's here toonesuccessor iOS 6.
But I can confirm that data (3G) eats up the battery quite a bit.
@Auron
Yes, WiFi is priority #1. I don't know if the hardware module for 3G reception will also be turned off. But I think so. Otherwise, the battery would probably go to hell in a few hours.
PS + TIP
I also have Bluetooth turned on nonstop because I can unlock my MAC by tapping my phone (app Knock)
The 5S lasts me a full weekend while I'm at home. sometimes a call, sms... wifi on. I don't charge it until Monday at work. it usually lasts me during the day - calls, sms, 3G internet sharing via bluetooth to iPad.
old iphone4 lasted almost two weeks without a sim card in standby mode. it was charging on Christmas Eve and when I happened to check it on New Year's Eve the battery was showing 68%
Pavel Kružík: Your battery is slowly but surely dying, it's been happening to me for a long time and it annoys me, especially when I'm working with it somewhere in the cold.
Weird with that stamina, I'd take one too. But maybe it's enough to do one thing differently and it can make a big difference, that's right.
My battery life dropped by about 4% in 30 seconds. And sometimes the battery drops by 5% in 20 minutes. Other times there's 25% left, I turn on the camera and boom, iPhone turns off. ProWhat a disgrace!
@Nucleus
Your battery is probably dead. I would try a reset and otherwise a complaint..
It's ok if after turning off all app and the next restart, do all applications still run in the background?
It worked for me before this update IPhone about 10-12 hours maximal. After this update it was really crazy, it easily jumped from 40% to 25% just when I opened one app. After the restart it doesn't jump like that anymore, but the battery is still draining more than before, hopefully the next update will fix it.
Lukas31 3 and more. he will last without charging because on Monday, when his father is consecrating for a long time, he will take it away iphone and give it back to him on Thursday morning as punishment
Well, I'm looking at how I literally caused hellooo here because of my comment. So once again for those who claim and write "shit" here, as one user wrote:
Iphone 5: off the charger around 9:00 a.m. Sunday (100% battery). All Sunday (day 1), all Monday (day 2), all Tuesday (day 3) … on Tuesday around 23:00 my battery was at 23%, if I left it until 9:00 which is three days I would have about 19% left maybe more. As I wrote. I have the brightness at about 90%, 3G, Wifi on, I don't play games, and I don't even watch movies on my iPhone, quite a lot of email (I have it set to Pick up after 15 minutes), web about 1,5 hours a day, text messages and calls … that's the question. I get a normal call every day max. 30 min. to an hour. I turn on some app here and there. I take a photo, I use whatsapp also, calendar and internet banking. Any more questions from non-believers? Anyway, I can only laugh at those who don't make it through one day :D. So I'm ending this discussion :o).
Lukas31 : please do a workshop on how you do it, it sounds like magic
Drtikol: you mustn't iphone so "crushing" :D
Lukas31: I don't crush :)) I'd just like to know what time you had for use, because as I wrote, I didn't get over 7 and a half hours (with normal use)
Drtikol: :o) you see, I didn't think to look. So next time I'll blink and write it.
Lukas31: this is probably the most important data that tells about endurance :)
