After taking a look at the innards of the fifth generation iPod Touch, iFixIt delivers another in its series of dissections of the company's devices Apple, but this time it is practically the cheapest product from the apple company's 2012/2013 series. The new, larger iPod nano, also nicknamed iPod Touch nano by the community, this year brought a pleasant combination of old and new elements, which is evidenced not only by its design, but also by its functions. However, according to the evaluation and comments of the mentioned website, the new iPod is significantly worse inside than we could have thought. Especially in terms of repair.
The inside of the latest iPod is now one unit. A big advantage, but at the same time a huge disadvantage of this device. The biggest problem is the motherboard itself, which is contained by 3.5mm audio jackom, but also portom Lightning. At the same time, the battery is connected to it in a special way, so its repairs will be difficult in case of damage, not to mentiononewhich Lightning. So if you accidentally destroy this port, you know what that means. The display of the device is better, as the LCD panel and the glass with the digitizer are separated from each other, similar to the case of the first phone models iPhone. iFixIt rated the seventh generation Nano with five out of ten points in its tests.
However, the motherboard of the device this time contains several different chips of the company Apple, whose purpose is unknown. They do not have specific names, but they are known as 338S1099, 338S1146, 339S0193, 75292 98820 and 75203 23017, but it is possible that some of them contain iPod system software. The company makes them a 16GB Flash memory from Toshiba, a Texas Instruments 343S0538 touch screen driver, a Bluetooth and FM chip from Broadcom and finally a NXP Semiconductors 1609A1 chip.
I don't understand why this sentence is included here. "So if you accidentally destroy this port, you know what that means." Yes, your device won't work. If I'm not mistaken, even if I destroy the port on the iPhone, I will destroy the port so in one day it won't work either because I won't have a way to charge it. Nokia has it really good with wireless charging - there the user can destroy theonewhich is safe ;)
